Welcome to the Many Hands Community

You are welcome to become part of the Many Hands international community of volunteers, joining together to build walls and break down barriers. We believe in the power of people working together to accomplish things that need to be done.

Our vision is to become a resource for individuals and teams who want to do humanitarian volunteer work in their own communities, their own nations and around the world.

Like this team of volunteers who came together from South Africa and the USA to build a church in the village of Hartebeeskop, South Africa in August of 2004, we don't think it matters whether you are young, old, male, female, black, white, rich, poor, highly skilled or just plain enthusiastic. If you want to join with others to make a difference you can.

This site is where you can learn about us, where we have been, what we have done and what we see for the future. Here you can connect with others who share your desire for new experiences, new perspectives, new friendships, and the satisfaction of knowing you have touched other lives. Find out about our South Africa work teams in July and August of 2006, and the trips we are planning for the summer of 2007.

After you join a Many Hands work team you will visit here often. this site will become your source for all you need, from travel planning and logistics to fundraising support. Bookmark us now and come back often!
